Made By A Tee. Knitting, T-shirts, Tote Bags, Pouches, Jewellery.

Tee is the name my oldest niece gave me when she was learning to talk. She apparently couldn’t say ‘Aunty Robyn’ and so started to call me Tee. And Tee I became all over the ‘net.

But…who is Tee?

When I started my original graphic design company, I couldn’t think of a name. And then a friend said, ‘Duh! Designed To A Tee!’ So it has been for about 16 years.

When my son was born, almost 16 years ago, I was sent some knitting needles and yarn and I learned to knit. Welll, I technically already knew, but never did it much until 16 years ago.

And then I learned to crochet. And weave (which I also already knew, but it had been awhile). And spin. And I realised fibre liked me!

And so Knitted By A Tee was born.

But then? I started to make jewellery. Mostly for Pride. Oops, did I forget to mention I’m queer? Well, I am!

Once I started to add jewellery to my range, I needed a new name.

And here we are, Made By A Tee!

And in the shop here at MBAT you will find things I’ve made with my Cricut. A Cricut is a cutting machine. You design something, pick a material to make it out of, have the Cricut cut it out and then apply it to something else!

In my case, it’s t-shirts, tote bags, and pouches!

There are actually two shops at the minute. One here at madebyatee.com and one at https://folksy.com/shops/madebyatee.

I may shut down the Folksy shop soon. They don’t really like me as they don’t consider my Cricut designs as ‘homemade’. That’s why I made this shop!

So, thanks for reading. And have a look around! More items will be added to the shop as time goes on.
